The IWS-03 is an electronic, fixed-temperature wall mounted tap operated by a
simple swipe of the hand — no touching, no levers, no cross-contamination. The
swipe on/off action was developed specifically for healthcare environments:
unlike basic motion sensors, it won’t trigger accidentally when someone leans
over the basin, and it gives users deliberate control of start and stop. You’ll
find this tap installed throughout Australian hospitals, aged-care facilities,
medical clinics and commercial washrooms.
Formerly sold as the Caroma Sanitron IWS-03
For years this product was sold under the Caroma Sanitron
name with the same SKU, IWS-03-SET. It no longer appears in Caroma’s catalogue
and owners are often told it’s unavailable — but it remains in production with
Sanitron, the family-owned Brisbane manufacturer of commercial sanitary
electronics since 2002. Units installed during the Caroma era share the same
design, rough-in dimensions and spare parts as the sets sold here, so
replacements and repairs are straightforward.
